Hawaii Foodbank Food Partner Agencies

Hawaii Foodbank partners with a network of approximately 200 food partner agencies: food shelters, pantries, rehabilitation centers, etc. located throughout Oahu and Kauai to distribute food to communities in need of hunger relief. The Hawaii Foodbank is the only nonprofit 501(c)3 agency in the state of Hawaii that collects, warehouses and distributes mass quantities of both perishable and non-perishable food to approximately 200 member agencies as well as food banks on the Big Island, Maui and Kauai. The Hawaii Foodbank forms a vital link between the food donors and our member agencies by collecting, sorting, salvaging and distributing about 12 million pounds of food each year. The Hawaii Foodbank also supports its member agencies through financial and educational assistance.

The Hawaii Foodbank provides food to help feed 287,000 people or 1 in 5 people statewide annually, and distributes grocery and household items to other 501(c)3 nonprofit agencies that provide direct services to the needy. These nonprofits are an essential link between the Foodbank and Hawaii's hungry.

Last year, the Foodbank worked with nearly 30 member agencies to distribute over 2.5 million pounds of fresh produce and nearly 4.8 million pounds of baked goods, dairy products, eggs, cereal, snack foods and beverages.

Food partner agencies receive food and other products from our warehouse and distribute them free of charge to people in need including the low-income families, the elderly, the homeless, the disabled and the unemployed. The Hawaii Foodbank also organizes several programs that allow us to reach a wider variety of individuals.
