In Hawaii, hunger is complex and often misunderstood. 1 in 8 people feel its effects, and they’re not always the ones you expect. Join Alaka‘i and Hawaii Foodbank on Thursday, Nov. 14, for Black Out Hunger presented by Sysco Hawaii. This pau hana fundraiser will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Queen Kapi‘olani Hotel.
Guests will be treated to an evening of pupus, cocktails, live entertainment, silent auction, lucky draw prizes and more. It’s a great opportunity for young professionals and leaders in our community to network and connect – all while supporting Hawaii Foodbank's mission to nourish our hungry ‘ohana.
Guests are asked to wear all black to the event as a commitment to “blacking out” hunger in Hawaii.
